Itinerary – Day by Day

Day 1: UK/Ireland – Night on Board
Depart from your chosen UK or Irish airport for your overnight flight to Johannesburg. Settle in on board and get ready to begin your South African adventure.

Day 2: Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey or start exploring the city at your own pace. Overnight in Johannesburg.

Day 3: Johannesburg – Hazyview / Kruger Area
After breakfast, enjoy an included sightseeing tour of Johannesburg, taking in key districts and landmarks that reflect the city’s history and modern character. Later, transfer by road to the Lowveld and on to the Hazyview/Kruger area. Check in at your lodge or hotel and enjoy dinner. Overnight in the Kruger region.

Day 4: Kruger Region – Game Drive & Bush Walk
Start the day early with a bush walk on a private reserve, accompanied by expert rangers who will introduce you to the smaller details of the African bush – tracks, birdlife and plant life.

Later, experience the thrill of a game drive in an open safari vehicle on a private reserve within Greater Kruger. Scan the bush for elephants, lions, buffalo, rhino, giraffe and more. Enjoy time to relax back at the lodge between activities. Dinner and overnight in the Kruger region.

Day 5: Panorama Route – Hazyview / Kruger Area
Breakfast at the lodge before setting out on one of South Africa’s most scenic drives: the Panorama Route. Visit Blyde River Canyon – one of the largest green canyons in the world – as well as God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes, where water and rock have carved dramatic formations over millennia. Lunch is included during the excursion. Return to your lodge or hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Hazyview – Nelspruit – Cape Town
After breakfast, transfer to Nelspruit airport for your flight to Cape Town. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel, ideally located for exploring the city. The rest of the day is at leisure – perhaps head down to the V&A Waterfront for your first taste of Cape Town’s dining and shopping scene. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 7: Cape Town – City & Table Mountain
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you have free time in Cape Town. You might choose to take an optional city tour including the Company’s Garden, the colourful Bo-Kaap district and the Castle of Good Hope, along with a cable-car ride up Table Mountain (weather permitting) for panoramic views over the city, ocean and surrounding mountains. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 8: Cape Town – Optional Cape Winelands
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a full free day to explore independently, or join an optional full-day excursion to the Cape Winelands. Visit the historic towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, admire the mountain scenery and sample some of South Africa’s renowned wines (tastings and cellar tour typically included on the excursion). Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 9: Cape Town – Optional Cape Peninsula
After breakfast, another free day to enjoy Cape Town. You may wish to book the optional full-day Cape Peninsula tour, taking in Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno and the Twelve Apostles, as well as Chapman’s Peak (weather permitting), the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point, Boulders Beach penguin colony, Simon’s Town and Muizenberg. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 10: Cape Town – Night on Board
Breakfast at the hotel (subject to flight time). At the scheduled time, transfer to Cape Town airport for your overnight flight back to the UK or Ireland.

Day 11: UK/Ireland
Arrive back in the UK or Ireland and continue your journey home with unforgettable memories of South Africa’s cities, coasts and safari landscapes.
