You walk out of the airport and the warm air wraps around you like a held breath. By the time you reach the beach the pace of home has already gone. This is what the best Caribbean holidays do in the first hour, they slow you right down. Which Caribbean island should I choose?
It depends entirely on the trip you want, which is exactly where we come in. Couples often love St Lucia, Antigua or Nevis, families do well in Jamaica, Barbados or the Dominican Republic, divers head for the Caymans or Tobago, and for pure luxury it’s Turks & Caicos or Anguilla. Tell us your priorities and we’ll match the island.
When is the best time to visit the Caribbean?
Peak season runs December to April, warm, dry and sunny, ideal winter sun, and the busiest and priciest time. The off-peak months from May bring better value and still-lovely weather with the odd warm shower. Carnival season in February and March is a wonderful time to go if you want the islands at their liveliest.
How much does a Caribbean holiday cost?
From around £1,052 per person, and the main factors are the island, the resort, your board basis and whether you travel in peak or off-peak season. All-inclusive often works out the best value once you add up food and drink. We price each trip around exactly what you want.
Which Caribbean islands have direct flights from the UK?
St Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, Jamaica, Grenada, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, the Caymans and the Bahamas all have direct or near-direct flights, usually around eight to nine hours. The smaller, quieter islands are reached with a short connection, which also makes island-hopping easy. We’ll sort the routing.
Is the Caribbean good for families?
Very. Family all-inclusive resorts like Beaches and Moon Palace take care of everything, the beaches are warm and calm, and there’s plenty for children of all ages. Some islands and resorts suit families better than others, so we’ll steer you to the right combination.
Is the Caribbean good for couples and honeymoons?

Do you need a visa or ESTA for the Caribbean?
Most islands are visa-free for UK travellers on a holiday stay, though requirements vary by island. If your route connects through the United States you’ll usually need a US ESTA, even just to transit. We confirm exactly what’s needed for your trip.
What currency do the islands use?
It varies. Many use the East Caribbean dollar, Barbados and the Caymans have their own dollars, the US dollar is widely accepted across the region, and the French islands use the euro. Cards are accepted at resorts almost everywhere, and we’ll brief you per island.
All-inclusive or not?
All-inclusive is hugely popular here and often the best value and the most relaxing, especially for families. But if you love exploring local restaurants, a boutique or room-only base can suit better. We’ll talk you through what fits your island and your style.
Can you combine two islands, or add a wedding?
Yes to both. Many islands pair up neatly by short flight or ferry for a twin-centre trip, and beach weddings are something we arrange regularly. We can also fold the Caribbean into a bigger trip if you want.
