About this holiday
This Canadian Rockies Rocky Mountaineer holiday combines two of the country’s most iconic mountain towns with one of the world’s great train journeys. You’ll fly into Calgary with Air Canada, transfer to Banff and spend two nights at the Banff Caribou Lodge, a 3-star lodge right on Banff Avenue with the Red Earth Spa, a hot pool, and The Keg Steakhouse on site. Then it’s north to Jasper for two more nights at The Crimson Jasper, a well-placed 3-star hotel in the heart of town with an indoor pool and mountain views.
From Jasper, you board the Rocky Mountaineer in SilverLeaf Service for the westbound Journey Through the Clouds route to Vancouver. This is a two-day all-daylight rail journey, with a comfortable hotel overnight in Kamloops included as part of the experience. You’ll travel through river valleys, past Pyramid Falls and Mount Robson (the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies), and down through the Fraser Canyon to the Pacific coast. Gourmet breakfasts and lunches are served at your seat, with local wines and beverages throughout.
Your Canadian Rockies holiday ends with three nights at the 4-star Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, a landmark hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Stanley Park, Robson Street, Granville Island and the waterfront are all within easy reach. The hotel has an indoor lap pool, a gym, and floor-to-ceiling windows with city and ocean views. A transfer from Calgary Airport to Banff is included at the start of the trip.

Your itinerary, day by day
Day 1: Fly to Calgary
Depart London Heathrow with Air Canada and fly to Calgary International Airport. On arrival, your included transfer takes you south-west through the Rockies foothills to Banff.
Days 1-2: Banff
Two nights at the Banff Caribou Lodge on Banff Avenue, the main street running through this famous mountain town. Explore the town on foot, visit the Banff Gondola or Lake Louise, and make use of the on-site Red Earth Spa and hot pool. The Keg Steakhouse is right in the lodge for dinner.
Days 3-4: Jasper
Travel north to Jasper, Canada's largest Rocky Mountain national park. Two nights at The Crimson Jasper, a modern 3-star hotel in the heart of town overlooking the train station. Jasper is quieter and wilder than Banff, with exceptional wildlife viewing and access to the Icefields Parkway.
Day 5: Rocky Mountaineer, Jasper to Kamloops
Board the Rocky Mountaineer in SilverLeaf Service for the first day of the Journey Through the Clouds route westbound. The train follows the North Thompson River, passes Pyramid Falls and Mount Robson (the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies), and descends through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains to Kamloops. Gourmet breakfast and lunch are served at your seat. Overnight in Kamloops, included as part of the Rocky Mountaineer experience.
Day 6: Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops to Vancouver
The second day of the rail journey takes you west through the dramatic Fraser Canyon and Hell's Gate, through lush forests and the Fraser Valley, and into Vancouver. Another full day of gourmet meals and onboard commentary before arriving at the coast.
Days 6-8: Vancouver
Three nights at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, a 4-star landmark in downtown Vancouver. Explore Stanley Park, walk the seawall, browse Granville Island, or simply enjoy the city from your room's floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel has an indoor pool, gym, and Cafe One on site.
Day 9: Fly home
Check out from the Sheraton and transfer to Vancouver International Airport for your return flight to London Heathrow.
