This seven-night P&O Azura Canary Islands fly-cruise departs Tenerife on 20 November 2026 (voyage A646), returning on 27 November. You fly direct from the UK to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, spend an overnight stay on the island, then sail to Madeira, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote before returning to Tenerife for disembarkation. Direct flights and transfers are included.
The Canary Islands in late November are reliably warm and uncrowded — an excellent winter sun alternative to the Mediterranean, with the added interest of Madeira’s dramatic volcanic scenery and famous levada walks. Funchal, the Madeiran capital, is one of the most rewarding ports in the Atlantic, with a botanical garden, cable cars, and the old market in the covered Mercado dos Lavradores. Gran Canaria’s port of Las Palmas has a beautifully preserved old quarter, Vegueta, as well as easy access to the sand dunes at Maspalomas. Lanzarote’s Timanfaya National Park, with its volcanic lava fields and Fire Mountain, is unlike anywhere else in Europe.

Your itinerary, day by day
Day 1: Tenerife (arrive)
Fly direct from the UK and arrive in Tenerife. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the island's capital, with a lively port-side boulevard, the Plaza de Espana and the Museo de Bellas Artes all within easy reach. The overnight stay means you have time to explore before sailing.
Day 2: Tenerife (depart)
A second day in Tenerife with time ashore before Azura sails at 22:00. If you haven't already, the Anaga Rural Park and the Teide National Park — home to Spain's highest peak — are both worth the trip. The Santa Cruz market is a good option if you're staying closer to the port.
Day 3: At Sea
A full day at sea heading south-west into the Atlantic as Azura makes for Madeira.
Day 4: Funchal, Madeira
Madeira's capital, Funchal, sits in a natural amphitheatre of green hills above the harbour. The island is known for its botanical gardens, its network of levada irrigation channels ideal for walking, and the famous wicker toboggans that descend from Monte to the seafront. Madeira wine tastings are available at several of the historic lodges in town.
Day 5: At Sea
A relaxed day at sea heading back east towards the Canary Islands.
Day 6: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Las Palmas is Gran Canaria's capital and one of the largest cities in Spain. The Vegueta old quarter, declared a UNESCO heritage zone, has some of the finest colonial architecture in the Atlantic. The beach at Las Canteras is a short walk from the port, and the vast sand dunes at Maspalomas are accessible by excursion to the south of the island.
Day 7: Lanzarote
Lanzarote's landscape is unlike anywhere else in Europe. The Timanfaya National Park's volcanic fields and Fire Mountain dominate the interior, while the wine country of La Geria produces distinctive white wines from vines grown in volcanic ash. The Jameos del Agua cave and the Mirador del Rio viewpoint are two of the island's other highlights.
Day 8: Tenerife (disembark)
Azura arrives back in Tenerife early on 27 November 2026. Disembarkation in Santa Cruz and return direct flights to the UK.
