This seven-night P&O Azura Central Mediterranean fly-cruise combines southern Italy and the Ionian Islands in a single sailing. You fly to Valletta, Malta, where Azura departs on 9 July 2026 (voyage A627), then calls at Taranto on Italy’s heel, the lush Ionian island of Corfu, Kefalonia — the largest of the Ionian Islands — and the Sicilian city of Catania before returning to Valletta on 16 July.
It’s a varied mix of ports. Taranto sits between two seas on the toe of Italy and is one of the country’s oldest cities. Corfu Town’s Venetian old quarter and twin fortresses reward a morning’s wandering, while Kefalonia’s sheltered harbours and local seafood make it an easy, relaxed call. Catania sits at the foot of Mount Etna and offers a striking baroque centre built from the volcano’s own black lava stone.
Onboard, Azura carries around 3,100 guests with four swimming pools, a spa and gym, age-specific kids’ and teens’ clubs through The Reef programme, the SeaScreen open-air cinema and a wide choice of restaurants including the Sindhu Indian restaurant. Flights are included from a choice of UK regional airports, with sea view cabins from £1,219 per person.
