Short Break in Lapland, Pyha: 2 Nights with Flights for Families

This short break in Lapland packs two extraordinary days into a compact trip that is perfect for families. You’ll stay at Northern Lights Village in Pyha, in one of the resort’s glass-roofed Aurora Cabins, where the heated ceiling melts snow so you can lie in bed and watch the sky for the Northern Lights. An Aurora alarm wakes you if the display begins while you’re asleep.

The activity programme is full and well-paced. Day two begins with a 25-minute reindeer express, gliding through snow-covered forest on a sleigh pulled by one of these gentle animals, an experience rooted in Sami culture and very popular with younger travellers. After lunch, a 10km husky safari takes the family out into the Arctic landscape, driven by a team of enthusiastic sled dogs. Complimentary skis, snowshoes and toboggans are available throughout your stay if you want to explore on your own terms. All meals are included at the resort’s Lappi restaurant, where dishes are made with local produce and served in a warm, log-fired setting.

Flights are included from your chosen UK departure point, with airport transfers to and from Rovaniemi included throughout. Thermal clothing and winter equipment are provided on arrival, so you won’t need to pack bulky kit. A private Santa experience in the forest is available as an optional extra at checkout, at additional cost.
