I recently had the incredible opportunity to visit the stunning island of Mauritius and stay at several of the exquisite Beachcomber hotels. As someone who loves everything about travel—from planning and organizing to experiencing new destinations—this trip was a dream come true. Let me take you through my journey across these luxurious hotels and share why they should be at the top of your travel list.
Beachcomber Hotels in Mauritius are renowned for their exceptional service, beautiful locations, and luxurious amenities. I was lucky enough to Visit all 8 Hotels during my stay on the Beautiful Island of Mauritius. Each hotel offers a unique experience, blending the natural beauty of Mauritius with exceptional hospitality so I was excited to check them out for myself.
Traveling to Mauritius we flew out from London Gatwick with Air Mauritius on a 13-hour flight. The in-flight entertainment and service were great throughout the journey. Check-in was fast and efficient, with a luggage allowance of 23kg for checked baggage and 7kg for hand luggage. Upon arrival, private coach transfers whisked us away to our first hotel. Mauritius is also a great option as a Multi centre with Dubai using Emirates airlines to break up the flight.
Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort and Spa *****
Our first hotel stay was at the beautiful The Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa. As we pulled up to the entrance you could feel the tropical elegance of the resort. We settled into our beautiful Ocean View Suites, wow they were incredible, spacious and modern. The signature Paridis Beachcomber welcome they gave us on arrival was so inviting, I felt instantly relaxed. The welcome pack in our room was a great touch, it contained fresh local honey made using their own bee hives and a personal letter from the hotel management team.
Our incredible Mauritius adventure kicked off with speedboats, dolphins and rainbows as we took a speed boat from the beach in search of dolphins. What an amazing experience across the Mauritius reef and into the ocean. We hit a tropical storm which was an unforgettable experience as it created rainbows as the sun then broke through. We Remember, it's not about waiting for the storm to pass, rather learning to dance in the rain. The storm didn’t last long and before we knew it we were back in the glorious sunshine.
The evening was a delight, hosted by Beachcomber's General Manager, Stephan, at the stunning Mediterranean restaurant, Zest at Paradis Beachcomber Hotel. The cheese and mezze boards were to die for, and the tiramisu was a dream. We wrapped up the night with dancing and karaoke, ending on a high note.
I personally recommend a moon lit stroll across the beach. There’s a perfect balance of moon light and shadows creating palm tree silhouettes and glistening moonlight across the deep ocean’s surface.
During our visit the hotel occupancy rate was at 95%, but somehow the resort felt cosy and personal. The hotel definitely has a boutique feel about it. The staff were, without exception, delightful and attentive without being overbearing.
The Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa is a paradise for golf enthusiasts and beach lovers alike. With its extensive range of water sports and activities which are all included, (except the golf but the fees are absolutely minimal) there’s never a dull moment here. The resort’s spacious villas and suites offer stunning views of the turquoise lagoon, making it an ideal destination for families and couples for an unforgettable stay at Paradis!

Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort and Spa *****
Next, stop we visited Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort and Spa. We had the pleasure of spending a day at the stunning Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort and Spa in Mauritius. Though it was just a short visit, it was enough to leave a lasting impression of this luxurious paradise.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly staff who made us feel instantly welcome. The resort’s breath-taking views of Le Morne Mountain and the turquoise Indian Ocean set the tone for a day of relaxation and exploration. We were fortunate enough to tour the villa suites and senior suites, which are perfect for Honeymoons, multi-generational families and groups of friends. The accommodation is spacious and elegantly designed, offering privacy and comfort. Each suite boasts its own terrace or balcony with stunning ocean views, making them ideal for both relaxation and social gatherings. Though our visit was brief, we made sure to sample the culinary delights at Dinarobin. The beachfront restaurant, Le Morne Plage, offered a delectable lunch with fresh seafood and local flavours. The atmosphere was serene, with the sound of waves providing a perfect backdrop.
No visit to Dinarobin would be complete without experiencing the Beachcomber Spa. Even with limited time, we managed to experience the spa’s tranquil ambiance. While we didn’t have time to participate in all the activities offered, we were impressed by the range of options available. From water sports to land-based adventures, there’s something for everyone. The beautifully landscaped gardens and pristine beach provided plenty of opportunities for leisurely strolls and relaxation. Our day visit to Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort and Spa was a glimpse into a world of luxury and tranquillity. Whether you’re planning a wedding, honeymoon, multi-generational family trip or a getaway with friends, this resort offers the perfect setting. The exceptional service, stunning accommodation, and breath-taking surroundings make Dinarobin a destination worth experiencing, even if only for a day. I look forward to returning for a longer stay to fully immerse myself in all that this incredible resort has to offer. The villas and senior suites are out of this world, making it a great choice for multi-generational holidays or groups of friends.

A Day Exploring the Island
After a delightful breakfast, we bade farewell to Paradis and headed to "La Vallée des Couleurs" Nature Park for an exhilarating morning of zip lining and quad biking.
"Look deep into nature, and you will understand everything better."
The park is a haven for nature lovers, with its vibrant landscapes and thrilling activities. A Thrilling Day at La Vallée des Couleurs was exhilarating and unforgettable. We kicked off with quad biking, zooming through diverse terrain, dense forests and rocky inclines. The views were breath-taking, especially at the panoramic points showcasing the park’s famous 23-colored lava rock formations. Next, we soared above the treetops on zip lines, gliding over waterfalls and valleys. The longest zip line at over 1.5 kilometres, offered an unparalleled view and an incredible adrenaline rush. Between activities, we explored the park’s stunning waterfalls, exotic flora and serene nature trails, appreciating the lush beauty and peaceful moments.
La Vallée des Couleurs is a must-visit for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. Whether quad biking or zip lining, the experiences are thrilling and the scenery spectacular. I can’t wait to return! On our way to our next hotel stay we stopped at a traditional colonial Mauritian house, enjoying the local flavours and ambiance.
Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf and Spa *****
Time to check in to our next hotel – the stunning Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf and Spa. Wow! Our rooms were private villas and suites with butlers – pure luxury. The three bedroom Villa offers seclusion, luxury and a high level of un-pretentious service. Your butler or Valet as Beachcomber refer to them, will arrive early to lay out an amazing breakfast. Everything you could desire from pastries and fruit to a fully cooked breakfast. With a full range of drinks including juices, water and hot drinks including freshly made Latte’s and Cappuccino’s.
Whilst you head out for a day full of activities or lounge by the pool, the Valet will prepare a lunch of your choice ready for when you return. They also take care of any other personal requirements like helping to arrange trips out or arranging for a buddy to collect you and transfer you to the main building. They will even freshen up your clothes with washing and ironing. If you are looking for total relaxation in luxury, I highly recommend the valet service with Beachcomber Hotels.
Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa is the perfect tropical paradise in Mauritius, offering stunning beachfront views and luxury. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush gardens. We were warmly welcomed with ice-cold mocktails in the lobby overlooking serene ponds, making the check-in process smooth and effortless.
The standard rooms are spacious, elegant and offered a blend of modern comfort and tropical beauty, with views of the immaculate gardens or the beach. Creating a serene retreat blending modern comfort with tropical charm. Known as the "most romantic hotel in Mauritius," Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa did not disappoint. With six restaurants, the dining options were exceptional. A highlight was our evening at Mahiya, the Indian restaurant, where we enjoyed an incredible dining experience with delicious food and impeccable service. Later, we topped the evening off with a trip to the town of Grand Baie to mix with the locals at the famous "Banana Bar." So much fun with lots of dancing, drinking, singing, and laughter.
The locals were incredibly welcoming making it a night to remember. Fresh seafood at the beachfront restaurants paired with stunning sunsets was another treat. Our stay at Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa was magical. The beautiful setting, luxurious accommodation and exceptional service makes it the perfect romantic getaway. For a dreamy escape in Mauritius, Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa is a must-visit.

Victoria Beachcomber Resort and Spa ****
An Enchanting Evening Visit to the Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa. It’s a family-friendly resort with a vibrant atmosphere. Nestled along the picturesque coastline of Mauritius, Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa offers a perfect blend of luxury, natural beauty, and culinary delights. Our recent evening visit to this exquisite resort was nothing short of magical, filled with a delightful Mauritius barbecue on the beach and a captivating site visit. As we arrived at Victoria Beachcomber, we were greeted by the gentle sea breeze and the inviting ambiance of the resort. The warm smiles of the staff made us feel instantly welcome, setting the tone for a memorable evening ahead. We got to explore the resort’s amenities and accommodation. From luxurious beachfront suites, adult only swim-up suites to spacious family villas, Victoria Beachcomber offers a range of accommodation to suit every traveller’s needs. The lush tropical gardens, sparkling swimming pools and serene spa facilities were equally impressive, showcasing the resort’s commitment to luxury and relaxation.
The spacious suites and family apartments with connecting rooms provide ample space for relaxation whilst allowing the older kids an element of independent space. The kids’ club keeps younger guests entertained and are very well attended, a testimony to how much the kids love them.
The resort’s beachfront location offers easy access to water sports and beach activities, making it a great choice for active families. The location of the resort is excellent, you can relax on the beach or head into Grand Baie (10-15 minutes by taxi) for shopping and nightlife. Victoria Beachcomber also has a tranquil setting, we loved sitting on the beach sampling the cocktail list. We got to look around the adults-only section, Victoria for 2 with a Swim-Up Room. I Love these rooms but you need to book early as do they sell fast. Imagine waking up in the morning and sitting on your terrace and having a swim in the pool.
We had a beautiful Barbeque on the beach and tried several dishes from the menu, but the one that stood out the most was grilled rib of beef with barbecue sauce – simply amazing washed down with my favourite Aperol Spritz. The service was impeccable as usual and I had the added pleasure of being sat next to Gerard, the Executive Assistant Manager at Victoria Beachcomber. Gerard's professionalism, dedication and passion to all things Beachcomber oozes through in abundance. It was a real eye opener in the behind the scenes ethos of Beachcomber and it did not disappoint. Victoria is perfect for everyone. For families, the rooms are large and there are also 2-Bedroom Family Apartments that offer independent living spaces with the comfort of joined accommodation.
For couples Victoria for 2 offers an exclusive adults-only section to the resort which I really recommend. It offers a private resort within the resort with your own bar and restaurants, it even has a separate beach area. I would also encourage guests to taste as many cocktails as possible, they are sooo good.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we were savouring grilled seafood, succulent meats, and flavourful local dishes. The sound of the waves and the soft glow of the amazing sunsets added to the ambiance, creating a truly unforgettable dining experience. Whilst most of the Beachcomber Hotels offer Scuba Diving, Victoria is probably the most popular. If you have never dived before you can complete your PADI certification whilst on your holiday. To get the most out of your time, I recommend completing the theory online at home before you travel so your holiday is spent doing all the best bits, Diving! This way all your time in paradise can be spent seeing the sites and enjoying all Beachcomber have to offer.
